Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens. ... When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we're sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.
Here is a one minute exercise I found on the Black Dog Institute website.
Sit in front of a clock or watch that you can use to time the passing of one minute. Your task is to focus your entire attention on your breathing, and nothing else, for the minute. Have a go - do it now.......
You could use this technique when trying to quieten your mind in order to empower yourself when working on not only your health; try to use it in every day stressful situations or just before an expected one.
Today with the fast food movement and the need to create wealth humanity has lost its way in many areas. Especially in the area of nurturing our body and mind with nourishing live foods. If we do not feed the body with at least 80% good live raw food how on earth can we function effectively and live a life of exceptional vitality.
